As part of the Government initiative to work on roads in the country, the Kintampo Municipal Assembly was not left out in the distribution of machines by the government of the republic of Ghana.
The Kintampo Municipality Assembly received; wheel-loader, grader, water tanker, and tipper tack to enable the municipality work on the deplorable roads in the Kintampo Municipality.
A short but colorful ceremony was held at the fort court of the Municipal Assembly block to outdoor these machines. Some chiefs, Assembly Members, government appointees, heads of departments other party faithful were present to witness this very important event.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kintampo Municipal Mr. Isaac Baffoe Ameyew in his address was excited to see one of his dreams coming to pass i.e. seeing the roads of the municipality motor able. He said, “This machines has come to save the good people of Kintampo Municipality due to our very bad roads in every community in the Municipality”.
Mr. Isaac Baffoe pleaded to the Chiefs and stakeholders in the Municipality to support him any time he call on them for support in the development of the Municipality.
He used the opportunity to canvas for vote “come December 7th the people of Kintampo should vote for the NPP government and himself as he is the parliamentary candidate for NPP.
Nana Kweku Dankwa III who is the paramount chief for the Mo traditional area in his speech stated how glad he was with the NPP government for providing the municipality with such important equipment’s “for all roads in the Municipality are very bad, this is a timely intervention by Nana Adoo Dankwa Akufo Adoo government” he said.
Nana pleaded with the authority’s in-charge to employee well expressed operators who would take proper care of the tracks. He prose to support any time the need arise for the development of the Municipality.
