This year’s 6th March celebration which was aim to promote a sense of unity and patriotism while ensuring a cost-effective and efficient celebration saw 15 schools with 30 pupils for each school march which was on the lowest side as compared to previous years’. Cultural display, poetry recitals, drumming and dancing from different tribes in the Kintampo Municipality were displaced at the ground.
The Cleanness of the Municipality was not left out and as part of the programme line up for the 6th March celebration by the President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama.
Kintampo Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Zoom Lion organized a cleanup excise which consist of all security service in the Municipality, Heads of Department, Assembly Members and some patriotic citizens of the Municipality who came out with their cleaning tools to make this event a memorable one.
The cleaning was done in some principal streets of the Municipality including gathers along the main Tamale and STC station.
