Kintampo Municipal Assembly Inaugurates Medium-Term Development Planning Committee (2026–2029)

The Kintampo Municipal Assembly Inaugurated its Medium Term Developmental Planning Committee for the 2026 to 2029 period.

In a very brief and short ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Isaac Donkor in his key note address said the committee was made up of all key sectors in the Municipality such as education, health, physical panning, agriculture, local governance, youth and women groups traditional authorities and civil societies which is due their collective commitment of the inclusive and sustainable development off our municipality.

Mr.Donkor said their selection was due to the recognition of their expertise and leadership they bring to their respective fields of work and they are together to craft a developmental plan which would speak of the real needs of the people of Kintampo Municipality and leverage the strength and set a clear path for transformative growth for Municipality.

He spoke of the Medium Term Development Plan not being just a document which allows the Municipalities to Set clear priorities based on their local needs and available resources but it Align their initiatives with national development goals and global targets such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also Attract funding and investment by demonstrating structured planning and measurable outcomes, Monitoring and evaluate the progress, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement in service delivery, and Fostering inclusive development by engaging stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that no group is left behind.

The MCE then urges them to engage the communities meaningfully, remain data-driven, and think boldly about the future we want for Kintampo North Municipality.

In conclusion, “Together, let us lay the foundation for a municipality that is prosperous, inclusive, and resilient, the task ahead is crucial but with your dedication, I am confident that we will deliver a plan that transforms lives and builds hope”. He ended.
